Dental implant maintenance
Personalized hygiene for dental implant
Although the success rate of dental implants is very high in the long term (more than 90% at 15 years), maintenance treatments are essential to maintain your implant health.
These sessions consist of a clinical examination, personalized hygiene and prevention advice, and an accurate x-ray of the implants. The screwing of the prosthesis is also controlled.
Then an active phase of cleaning the dental surfaces is carried out using ultrasound or manual curettes, then polishing with pulps or powders projected from the teeth and dental implants
Who can perform this dental implant maintenance?
This can be done by a dental hygienist trained in periodontics and implantology, who will pay particular attention to your gum health.
When should we do dental implant maintenance?
These sessions are recommended every 6 months.
In certain specific situations, they can be advised up to 3-4 times a year, as for patients with a history of periodontitis, or other diseases.
