Dental implant surgery
Preparation
We will accompany you to a room dedicated to surgery with all the precautions necessary for your comfort and safety.
Your premedications, if there are any, will be checked.
You will need to do a chlorhexidine mouthwash for 1 minute, then we will dress you in sterile disposable surgical attire.
You will then be installed on the surgical chair with sterile drapes and protections.
Surgical procedure
We will perform local anesthesia by applying a gel, then by injection (as with traditional dental care) before surgery.
An incision is made on your gum, this is gently lifted. Then a series of drilling under irrigation is done by the surgeon. The implant can then be targeted. The gum is replaced with 2 stitches. The wound is controlled.
In the case of posterior implants, you will leave the office with a small protective screw on the implant, which is flush with your gum. In the case of implants in aesthetic zone, a prosthesis loaded immediately will most often be placed.
It is a simple and quick intervention, about 20 minutes for an implant. You will not feel any pain during the procedure.

Explanation of post-operative advice
You will be rid of sterile fields and protections.
We will explain the prescription medication, as well as the post-operative advice so that your healing goes well.
We will accompany you at the reception to fix the next meetings.
Deposit stitches
We will see each other again in control and to deposit the stitches 15 days later.
Control of implant osseointegration and prosthesis
We will see each other again in osseointegration control after 3 months.
We will verify that the bone is well attached to the implant by a clinical examination and taking an x-ray.
The implant can at this stage receive the usual prosthesis.
